Superintendent’s Newsletter - Fall 2016
The chill in the morning air reminds us, the fall season is finally here! As the leaves are changing colors and those sweaters and jackets are being pulled out of the closets we can feel a change is coming! Here at the Bishop Unified School District there are some exciting changes happening as well. New curriculum in English Language Arts is being implemented across the district, teachers are being trained in important student engagement strategies and many new and talented teachers have joined our team.
Over the course of the next school year I will be sending out a number of newsletters highlighting the great things happening on our school campuses. My goal is to communicate important information about academic achievement, campus safety, and important school events, as well as highlight outstanding programs and people in our district. Lastly, I also hope to solicit your input and feedback about our school program so that we can revise our Local Control Accountability Plan to include the programs and services to our students that reflect our community’s input. So please look for my newsletters in the mail and on our website in the months to come.
